Welcome to Mama Needs Wine
Because Some Nights, That’s All We Need
So, let me tell y’all how this all started.
It was one of those nights — I woke up to use the bathroom, couldn’t go back to sleep, and was just up. You know that kind of up where your brain’s like, “We could think about everything we’ve ever done wrong… or we could pour a glass of wine.”
Guess which one I picked?
And that’s when it hit me — at the end of the freaking day, what do we need? A glass of wine. Not judgment. Not noise. Just a moment to breathe. So, Mama Needs Wine was born — a fun little blog for all of us who’ve earned our pour.
Now listen, I’m a wife, a mom, a corporate queen, a businesswoman, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a cousin — you see all the hats? So before you ask, no, this will not be a weekly wine review. I don’t have that kind of capacity, okay? You’re getting one post a month — and you better like it, lol.
This Month’s Theme: Surviving Fall Daylight Savings (with Wine)
Let’s talk about this mess. Fall daylight savings hit, and suddenly it’s pitch black at 4:45 p.m. Like—ma’am—it’s giving bedtime energy when I still have two Zoom calls, dinner to make, and a kid asking for snacks every five minutes.
And don’t even get me started on the mornings. It’s bright before my alarm even thinks about going off. My body’s confused, my child’s confused, and my coffee’s working overtime.
But guess what’s still constant?
A good glass of wine waiting at the end of the day.
So, for this month’s pick, I’m starting off with my all-time favorite: Jam Jar Wine.
I know, I know — some of y’all are like, “I don’t like sweet wine.”
Who cares? Just try it.
It’s easy on the wallet (which is a plus and a minus, because once you realize how good it is, you’ll end up grabbing a couple of bottles). I discovered Jam Jar back in 2017, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It goes with everything — sushi, burgers, tacos, you name it.
That’s the kind of wine I love. Because as a busy queen, I don’t always have time to pair the perfect wine with the perfect meal. Sometimes, I just need my go-to — the one that says, “You did your best today.”
What to Expect from Mama Needs Wine
Each month, I’ll share:
🍷 A wine I’m loving (and why you might, too)
💬 A real-life mama moment — because we’ve all had “pour me a glass” days
😂 A few rants, a few laughs, and zero judgment
And yes, maybe down the line I’ll post more often — but for now, once a month feels just right. After all, I like my glass full, not empty — and my energy the same way.
So, welcome to Mama Needs Wine — where we talk motherhood, madness, and Merlot (or in this case, Jam Jar).
Here’s to you, mama. You’ve earned it. 🍷
